This week's inspirational focus on the benefits of exercise comes from a strange place involving dirty water, hairy spiders and endless rain...also known as, my overflowing sump pump.

When you have to deal with a minor disaster (like lots of rain coupled with a power outage), you have to call upon your body in new and painful ways. That's when all those workouts you've been doing come into play, something that may inspire you if you've been struggling with your workouts. A strong body makes it easier to handle things like flooded basements and bailing water. Sadly, it does nothing for the psychological horror of big hairy spiders.
