From Cory Silverberg, your Guide to Sexuality
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Yesterday I walked by a large plastic garbage bin (the kind restaurants use with wheels) that was pink and had a pink ribbon on it. The idea that you can "fight" breast cancer by making large plastic garbage bins (full, by the way, of toxic chemicals), or by buying anything, is a problematic distraction. And while an industry chugs along, people of all ages are impacted by breast cancer, and each of them are silently expected to give up sex and sexuality from the moment they, or their partners, are diagnosed. While I'm not entirely comfortable contributing to an awareness month that I think can do as much harm as good, I don't think any of us should be silenced or expected to give up a significant part of who we are, regardless of what is happening in our lives or bodies. And so, some direct sex talk about breast cancer f or your Wednesday. ~ Cory

Sexuality and Breast Cancer
Sexuality is part of life, and all life experience may affect our sex lives and sexuality. Even if you haven't had a confirmed diagnosis of breast cancer -- you think you've felt a lump, a doctor suggested they'd like to take a closer look at something you hadn't noticed -- the possibility of breast cancer, the idea of it and all that it evokes, can affect your sexuality.

My Experiences with Sexuality During Cancer
Most people aren't encouraged to think about sexuality when they're living with cancer. And yet we are all sexual beings and many of us don't want to give up on sex. Share your story and read others tales of keeping connected to sexuality and while living with cancer.

Promised Female Sex Drug Dropped by Manufacturer
Flibanserin was supposed to be the next Viagra, and the first drug approved for low female sexual desire. But news from the manufacturer indicates that the pot of gold is at the end of some other rainbow.

How America Masturbates
The release of data on the masturbatory habits of 5,865 Americans ages 14 to 94 doesn't actually tell us how all Americans masturbate, but it sure makes for an interesting beginning to a conversation.
