From Pam Stephan, your Guide to Breast Cancer
You see it everywhere. It's a humble green. It usually comes in a very small serving. Most people don't bother to eat it. Now we find out that a certain compound in this curly green plant may stop breast cancer's growth.

What's Green and Curly and Fights Breast Cancer?
This little green is usually plucked and chopped and placed on your plate to add color to a restaurant meal. New lab research shows that the right dose of a compound in parsley can stop certain breast cancer tumor cells from multiplying and growing. Don't like parsley? That's okay - the same compound occurs in other plants, too.

Radial Scars - A Benign Breast Abnormality
A radial scar is usually diagnosed accidentally - when you're having a biopsy for some other mass, or when your mammogram shows some star-shaped area. Even though this breast mass is usually benign, it looks like cancer. And that can make you worry.

Chemotherapy Basics for Breast Cancer
Chemotherapy has improved since I had treatments, and even more since my husband's mother was treated for breast cancer. We have more options, more targeted drugs, and better ways of coping with side effects.

Word of the Week: Huber Needle
That color-coded, curved, winged needle that your nurse uses to access your chemo port actually has a name. It's a Huber.
