The Montage You'll Never See at the Oscars
If Hollywood movies were meant to represent real life there would be a lot less Botox and a lot more masturbation. But mainstream movies aren't supposed to be like real life at all, so the sex we see on the big screen looks nothing like our actual sex lives, and masturbation is most often relegated to indie films and teen comedies. In 2008 to celebrate Masturbation Month I started to compile a list of masturbation scenes in non-porn films. About.com readers have chimed in over the years and now the list includes 45 films over thirty years of filmmaking. But there's more masturbation gold in those celluloid hills. Have a look, and if you see something missing, let me know.

Is My Porn Habit Ruining Sex with My Boyfriend?
I'm a woman in her late twenties and I've been with my boyfriend for more than two years now. I'm in love with him and attracted to him, and I think our relationship is pretty healthy. Lately, though, I've been having a hard time getting turned on. It's occurred to me that it's related to my watching porn. Whenever I masturbate I watch porn, and I wonder if I've come to rely on it to get myself aroused. As you can imagine, porn makes real-life sex seem kind of underwhelming. My boyfriend does his best to get me off, and most of the time he succeeds eventually, but it's kind of a mental struggle for me to actually reach climax. I imagine he's not thrilled that he can't get me off, and I personally would like to feel more aroused in his hands. What do you think about all this? Should I try to break my porn habit?Read my full answer

What Is Interactive Pornography?
All pornography, when encountered, becomes interactive pornography, as you have a text and an individual (or more than one) reacting to it. But in the world of sex tech, people have been trying to create a more immersive sexual experience, through the use of interactive technologies to deliver porn. Find out more about interactive porn, and what it could hold for the future of porn watching.
