Halloween is a holiday that can conjure up memories of gobbling up buckets of delicious sweets with abandon in one night. Unfortunately candy and diabetes don't go too well together. However, it can be possible to enjoy some treats without out-of-control blood sugar levels as a consequence. With knowledge and planning just about any diabetes challenge can be overcome.

I do not advocate eating candy with type 2 diabetes, but I am a strong believer in knowledge and having a plan for unexpected situations. I also know we are all human. Holidays like Halloween, candy offered by friends and co-workers, and a plethora of other situations can take you by surprise.
