From Laura Dolson, your Guide to Low Carb Diets
We who have experienced the benefits of reducing sugars and other carbs often have the impulse to help others achieve the same thing (I seem to be making a career out of it). But different people approach it in different ways. Taxes are often brought up as a solution, but there are definite drawbacks to that approach. What is happening in Denmark makes me shudder. Have a happy, low-carb week. - Laura

This Sunday is "Sugar Addiction Awareness Day", for example. I chat a bit about what people think we should do about the problem of so much sugar in our diets. It turns out that Denmark took the step of taxing it a few years ago, which has been proposed in many places in the U.S. But we may not want to go down Denmark's road, see below.

Denmark's Fat Tax
Yup, Denmark is now taxing saturated fat! If you want to drink whole milk, eat cheese, or have a BLT Lettuce Wrap , it's going to cost you more!

Losing Fat, or Just Losing Weight?
