From Ann Pizer, your Guide to Yoga
Three different takes on yoga videos this week. First up, a review of the new documentary Yogawoman. Then, a look at all the new yoga videos now on offer from About.com. Finally, see which home practice videos your fellow readers have recommended.

Yogawoman
If you do yoga and you are a woman, you are going to want to see the new documentary film entitled Yogawoman. And if you are interested in yoga's evolution over the past 60-odd years, regardless of your sex, you will also get a lot out of this film, which traces the popularization of yoga, largely due to an influx of female practitioners, since the middle of the last century.

Yoga Videos on About.com
About.com's video editors have been hard at work creating lots of new yoga videos lately. There are now videos examining individual poses as well as sequences of poses and yoga topics of interest like weight loss. Each video is only a few minutes long and they are all free, so browse the list to see what looks interesting to you.

What's Your Favorite Yoga Video?
With so many yoga DVDs on the market, it can be hard to figure out which ones are good. Help your fellow yogis out by recommending your favorite yoga videos, and you just might discover some you'll want to try as well.

Pose of the Week - Crescent Lunge - Anjaneyasana
There is nothing for getting deep into the fronts of your hips and thighs like anjaneyasana. The crescent shape is created when you take the lunge into a backbend, which can be either slight or big, depending on your mood, your spine, and your spine's mood. This pose is a little tricky to explain, so I'm pleased that I can also offer you this excellent anjaneyasana video, in which it all makes sense.
