| 10 September 2011 UK Edition | Dear Reader, Scientists have just discovered a new strain of salmonella in the UK which is resistant to antibiotics. The outbreak, reported by the BBC, started in Africa and spread to Europe growing in resistance to antibiotics along the way.
Antibiotics used to be amongst the few prescription drugs that actually worked. The problem is they've been over, over, over prescribed and have lost their effectiveness against superbugs.
So what are you to do against this threat? The number of infections resistant to antibiotics is on the rise and yet modern medicine still has no answer to them. I believe the answer is simple… Prevention. Lying dormant in your body is a powerful type of immunity that needs a simple trigger. A trigger that can turn your body into a lean, mean, superbug fighting machine.
As this salmonella superbug spreads globally your chances of catching it increase. So what's it to be?
… A weakened immune system being pumped with ineffective antibiotics followed by two weeks in hospital on a drip?
Or
… A fully primed immune system ready to fight whatever is thrown at it? Even if you do get ill you'll be able to shake it off like it was just an upset stomach.
Read here how to trigger your dormant immune system.
Until next time, Andrew Miller Editor Nutrition and Healing P.S. By boosting your immune system in this way you'll also be keeping 99% of cold and flu bugs at bay too.
