The hilarious thing about this question is, that if you're a child of mine, you ask: Why do people tell kids babies come form the stork? How does that work? I mean do parents just say, "Look what the stork brought? Or do they warn the kids that the stork is stopping by?" This is an actual conversation I had with one of my children last week.

Where do babies come from?
So the tricks here are 1) don't panic; 2) make sure that your answer is age appropriate. You may need to ask questions to give the answer that your child is looking for from you. "Where did I come from?" might mean they want to know where they were born, not how you got pregnant. Here are some more tips I've learned from having eight kids.
