From Marcia Purse, your Guide to Bipolar Disorder
I've had my own experiences with toxic people, but this week we have a real horror story from someone whose co-worker's behavior led to their own diagnosis of BP. Also: a new perspective on bipolar 2, a new warning on Lamictal, and new words of wisdom from a forum member.

Bipolar 2 is as Disabling as Bipolar 1
My own diagnosis is bipolar 2 (or bipolar II) disorder, and I've always been grateful that I don't the have full blown manias of bipolar 1. Still, my illness has an enormous impact on my ability to function in daily life, and I feel kind of vindicated after reading this article. What's your reaction?

A Co-Worker Made Me Crash
Rider3's story of what led to being diagnosed with bipolar disorder shows just how badly toxic people can affect the lives of people who have an undiagnosed mental illness.

Please, Never NOT Love Yourself
Blue Zebra, a long-time member of our forums, writes about what the reactions of others to a person with BP tells about those people - and the need to separate yourself from the negative things other people say to you.

Rare Meningitis Warning on Lamictal
The US Food and Drug Administration has told the manufacturer of Lamictal (generic: lamotrigine) to add a new warning to the packaging of this drug, which is used as a mood stabilizer in treating bipolar disorder.
