How would you describe what sex feels like to someone who has never had sex before? Would you imagine one particular encounter and try to generalize? Would you start with masturbation and try to build out the differences between sex when you're alone in the room and sex when there's another body there with you? This was the challenge I got from a reader email, and while at first I wrote it off as an impossible exercise, the question stuck with me and I began to think it was something well worth exploring.
