Everyone loves the look of well tanned and healthy looking skin. Obviously, in order to change your pasty white skin to warm, tanned and beautiful you need to get a tan! We have all heard of the potential problem that surrounds suntans and tanning beds, but the premise of this article is to show you how to get a beautiful tan in a safe way, not necessarily by soaking up the sun at Daytona Beach in Florida or Point Pleasant in New Jersey.
Proven Dangers of Tanning:
You know that just by lying out under the sun at Sunset Beach, Oahu in Hawaii, you are absorbing dangerous ultraviolet rays that can promote premature aging and skin cancer. The more time that you are exposed to intense sunlight, the greater the risk complications. If you don't want to resemble an 83 year old person when you're 45, read on for tips and tricks to getting a safe tan!
Best Ways to Tan in the Sun:
When you are getting a tan out in the sun, there are a few info bits that will guarantee that you tan securely. When just starting out, apportion yourself a certain amount of time in the sun and no more. As you have read, the longer you are exposed to UV rays, the higher the risk. You definitely should not stay out in the sunlight long enough to get a sunburn; just long enough to soak up a bit of those golden rays! Light toned people usually spend less time in the sunshine before they start to get a burn, so remember to watch the clock, blondies! Avoid using things like butter or baby oil to speed up your tan. These can ask for dangerous sun burns including blistering and bleeding!
Best Suntan Products:
When you are shopping for suntan products, only get products that are designed for tanning. Pick up products that block the ultraviolet rays while allowing you to receive atan. Another product that can really help is a special hydrating lotion before and after your tanning session so your skin will not dry out due to the harsh sun. If you're getting some sun at the beach, take along some sunscreen so that when your allotted tanning time is up, you can spread it on.
Sunless Tanning:
If you desire a great tan without the problems, simply choose a sunless tanning product. Something to try is the spray on kind since there is {less|lower| risk of uneven coloring in certain areas like ankles and knees. Start slowly as well. Rub in an amount just large enough to cover the skin. If you don't tan dark enough, you can always add more, but it's very difficult to remove it if you turn orange or very dark!
Tanning is super and it is great to look at, but if you don't use these tanning methods, you will end up looking more like a prune or a red lobster! Good luck on your suntan and be sure to keep it safe.
