From Katharina Star, your Guide to Panic Disorder
If you have panic disorder, you may be more susceptible to having another condition as well. Anxiety and mood disorders commonly co-occur with panic disorder, such as depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. Other mental health disorders are similar to panic disorder, but are considered a completely separate condition, such as social anxiety disorder. Learn more about these related disorders and how each condition differs from panic disorder.

Panic Disorder Versus OCD
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition characterized by obsessive thinking and compulsive behaviors. Similar to panic disorder, OCD is an anxiety-related condition involving excessive worry and fear. Find out more about the symptoms and treatment options for OCD and how OCD differs from panic disorder.

Panic Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder
Like panic disorder, social anxiety disorder is another anxiety-related mental health issue that involves feelings of apprehension and panic-like symptoms, such as extreme fear and shaking. However, social anxiety disorder differs from panic disorder in diagnostic criteria, symptoms, and avoidance behaviors. Here you will find how panic disorder and social anxiety disorder compare and contrast to each other.

Panic Disorder and PTSD
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health disorder that can happen after a person has gone through or witnessed a distressing event.
