"I have a slow metabolism" is right up there with "I'm big-boned" when it comes to reasons we're overweight. I personally like the slow-metabolism argument because, first, you can't really prove it so people have to believe it. Also, there's something you can do about your metabolism (unlike your bones, which tend to be how they are). You know that 'something' has to do with exercise, don't you?
