I haven't had fundoplication surgery. I'm fortunate that I can control my GERD symptoms well with lifestyle and diet modifications, and with a proton pump inhibitor. There are those individuals for whom fundoplication surgery is the best option for them. This surgery may be performed for various digestive conditions, such as GERD and hiatal hernias.
