From Fiona Haynes, your Guide to Low Fat Cooking
With the clocks going back this weekend, we can look forward to darker, cooler evenings and a yearning for comfort food--something hearty but still healthy and nutritious.

Shepherd's Pie
Shepherd's pie, cottage pie, call it what you will, it's a wonderful warming, comforting dish that I could happily eat week in week out. Strictly shepherd's pie is made with ground lamb, and cottage pie is made with leftover chopped beef, but these days the meat seems to be interchangeable.

White Turkey Chili
I love a nice bowl of chili, and it's fun to change things a little and switch a few ingredients. So here's a white chili made with ground turkey and with white beans.

Black Bean Chipotle Chili
Still on the theme of chili, here's a vegetarian chili that still manages to be hearty and delicious. The smokiness and heat of the chipotle chile adds a wonderful depth of flavor.

Mini Meatloaves
Comfort food with built-in portion control! These mini meatloaves are loved by kids and adults alike. Serve with some skinny mashed potatoes (using nonfat milk or buttermilk) and some vegetables.
