From Elizabeth Woolley, your Guide to Type 2 Diabetes

My gastronomic cravings turn from light summer fare to foods that will stick to my bones and keep me warm. Here are some recipes for foods to keep you warm as well as advice for Thanksgiving - a day with an abundance of warming foods.

Thanksgiving Eating With Diabetes
Thanksgiving is a holiday with many traditions, but healthy eating is usually not one of them. Here is advice on avoiding the gravy trail of dietary minefields.

Hale and Hearty Oatmeal
The days are shorter, the mornings are colder, and thoughts turn to warm and filling breakfasts. What could be better than a big bowl of oatmeal speckled with dried cranberries and chopped almonds? Cook up some oatmeal for breakfast tomorrow!

More Oatmeal Recipes
Why oatmeal? Oatmeal is a good source of soluble fiber and also has a small amount of fat in it. As a component of a diabetic breakfast, these characteristics will help you with both glucose and morning appetite control. Discover some delicious ways to enjoy oatmeal.

Baked mushrooms, barley, soy sauce...can't you smell it already? Try this delicious and warming recipe as a main dish or a side dish.
