From Fiona Haynes, your Guide to Low Fat Cooking
I admit, football is not my thing, but it's hard to ignore Super Bowl Sunday, from the array of party foods, anticipation of the coolest ads, the half-time show, and, of course, the game itself. Whether you'll be rooting for the Giants or the Patriots, or just enjoying the day, here are some lighter Super Bowl recipes to help get your party started.

Planning a Low Fat Super Bowl Party
Super Bowl food is not for the faint of heart. So many dips, chips, buckets of popcorn, loaded potato skins, enormous pizzas, huge bowls of chili, beer and soda. Oh my! Well, I don't want to be a complete party pooper, so why not prepare a lighter spread that's easier on your waistline?

White Bean Dip
This crowd-pleasing dip is sim[mple to make, contains no sour cream, or cream cheese, yet manages to be creamy and satisfying. For an even healthier spin, use cut vegetables rather than crackers to eat it.

White Turkey Chili
Hearty, wholesome and healthy, this turkey chili would make a great Super Bowl offering.

Black Bean Chipotle Chili
Not all football fans are meat lovers. Serve this delicious, slightly smoky-flavored chipotle chili on game day. It's perfect for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
