Wonderful Walnuts
Last week I attended the Food for Your Whole Life health symposium held in New York City and sponsored by California Walnuts. The symposium featured five nutrition experts: David Katz, MD, of Yale University; Karen Collins, MS, RD of the American Institute for Cancer Research; Joan Sabate MD, of Loma Linda University, Brian Wansink, PhD of Cornell University; and Michael Roizen, MD of Clevelend Clinic.

Olive Oil
Olive oil is good for your heart because it helps keep your cholesterol levels healthy. Extra virgin olive oil may be even better because it contains polyphenols that can reduce inflammation.

Summer Food Safety
Don't you just love outdoor barbecues and picnics? Maybe a big backyard party with friends and family, a romantic picnic for two, or even a fun family outing with the kids.

Common Nutrition Abbreviations
IU, RDA, DRI, g, mg? Looks like alphabet soup. This article explains some of the common abbreviations that are used in nutrition.
