| 16 December 2011 UK Edition | Dear Reader
After 40 years of research and billions of pounds of investment cancer survival rates aren't improving.
These are the damning new findings from a study conducted by cancer charity Macmillan last month.
Stomach, esophagus, pancreatic, brain and lung cancer survival rates have seen little improvement in the last 40 years.
And the answer?.. 'More research is urgently needed'.
No doubt £billions more will be pumped into this research... with little return. Sure there were positive results from this study... (life expectancy increasing for myeloma sufferers for example)... BUT… There's always a but... Many cancer survivors swap survival for other long term health problems caused by their treatment... chronic fatigue, infertility, lung and heart damage... If any other industry had invested the £billions that the cancer industry does and got the same results... Heads would roll! Imagine, investing £billions into aircraft design only for the wings to fall off in mid-air.
As it is, we don't question mainstream treatment because many of us don't believe there is an alternative.
But, there are alternatives... safe alternatives that actually work. Alternatives that have been openly ignored by the cancer industry… because they're not profitable... because they can't make a pill out of them... Read the full report here on the alternatives that you're not being told about.
Until next time,
