From Elizabeth Woolley, your Guide to Type 2 Diabetes
I have a handful of ideas for fruit and vegetable platters that are simple and nutritious. I try to remember them for those last-minute gatherings when I'm short on time, stressed, and struggling for ideas. I am sharing my top picks with you. Also in this newsletter, read about (and read) a comic aimed at raising awareness of diabetes risks for teens as well as information about diabetes socks.

A Diabetes Comic and Mobile App
Arizona State Museum at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona collaborated with a local Native American artist to develop a comic book and digital mobile app to help educate teens about type 2 diabetes and behaviors that could reduce risk. The result is a comic book called It's Up 2 You! and an interactive free mobile app with a digital version of the comic. Don't have a smart phone? Never fear, you can view the comic on the web.
