Is it a good idea to lose weight together as a couple? That's a question that comes to mind whenever I train couples because it sometimes turns into a disaster. This is especially true if the husband ends up losing weight faster than his spouse, a typical outcome since men tend to lose weight faster than women. There are reasons for this (and, no, one of those reasons is not because men are better than women, as one of my clients suggested right before his wife came at him with a foam roller), something I discuss in this week's article.
