From Ann Pizer, your Guide to Yoga
Yoga is a natural fit for women undergoing treatment for infertility. Though conception is a lot more than just learning to relax, yoga can help women feel more connected to their bodies. Specialized classes for those struggling with infertility also provide a ready-made community and support system.

Yoga for Infertility
Although no studies have been done on whether yoga directly impacts fertility, yoga's effect on stress are well-documented and infertility can be very stressful. Anyone who is taking infertility drugs should talk to their care provider about what kind of yoga is appropriate.

Share Your Yoga and Fertility Story
If yoga played a role in your fertility, please consider sharing your story.

Yoga and Stress
Stress can have a deleterious effect on your health, whether or not fertility is one of your stressors. Yoga works against stress on many levels, one of the most powerful being the emphasis on bringing the mind to the present moment, which offers a temporary respite from stressful thoughts.

Pose of the Week - Flying Crow - Eka Pada Galavasana
When eka pada galavasana rears its head in two yoga classes in the same week (as happened to me last week) you'd better take notice. My observations are as follows: It's all about how tight a grip you can get with your foot around your upper arm. It's possible to do this pose with ease on one side and with great difficulty, if at all, on the other.
